From Auerbach to Melibokus

Though a chilly and wet October dusk forest stroll might not be everyone's preference, I find pure magic in the mystical atmosphere and serene quietness. During my walk, encountering just one mountain biker, I captured the essence with my Minolta X300 loaded with Santa RAE 1000 film, developed in AM 74 for 6 minutes with occasional agitation. I have not acquainted to the Santa Rae but I like the outcome as it supports the mystic and almost spooky atmosphere during the walk.

    This is an excellent photo from 1000 iso film. Where do you get 1000 iso film? I want to get some.

    @leisuresuit Many thanks. I have obtained the Santa Rae 1000 directly from the producers (I think it is old russian 35mm cinematic film spooled in Finland by kamerastore), the kamerastore (kamerastore.com). It was a particular action by them as part (or all) of the sales proceeds were donation for the Ukraine. I bought 3 rolls two yrs back. It is quite a complicated film (I think) and 1000 ASA is quite optimistic - I exposed at 800 ASA and even with that it is under exposed. I have checked - currently the film is not on stock in Finland it seems. Only a colour version is (100 ASA). But there is an American dealer who offers the SANTA RAE 1000 with 24 frames and in packs of four films for 45 US-$. The company is called "cameraville" @ cameraville.co (note not xxxxx.com).
