Hello, Mati

At the rest stop just after the Welcome arch at the border of Mati, there was a public park featuring an oversized statue of a native woman carrying produce and a riprap made to look like a stack of coconuts.
Quirky and eye-catching. Past the seamless side of the mountain, you definitely get the feeling of having crossed into another land.
