My biology professor uncle is about to retire and he is building a house next year on some land in the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. First he needs a barn so he spent the past year and half cutting lumber on his property and milling it into beams and rafters. The barn is put together with traditional mortis and tenon construction with wooden pegs holding the frame together. He had a lot of help last week with many neighbors turning out for what amounted to an old fashioned barn raising. He asked me to come and play photographer to document it. I shot many digital images but naturally brought film too. :)
