I am so so grateful to my friend Rachel. She is an amazing artist and one of my favorite artists. She was in town for her Solargraphy showing and scheduled a photowalk with her Chicago photo friends at the Garfield Park Conservatory. I have been shooting such awful pics and when Rachel said she was going to shoot a roll of flowers, rewind it and shoot portraits over them, I asked her if I could share the idea. So many artists would be offended by having their creative idea borrowed, but Rachel was sooo sweet and said yes with no hesitation. I ended up shooting the best roll of film I've shot in years. I am so proud of these pics.
