After 30 years I'm back in the abandoned rope factory of Viserba. It was used at the time of WWII, as a concentration camp, first by the Nazifascists and then by the Allies, after the breaking of the Gothic Line. The last time I been there when i was a child and now I'm amazed to see how people of my city, over the years, has pilfered a few bricks, but did not touch the industrial plants nor the prisoners's furnishings. As if this wretched place, despite the oblivion of all the time spent, still harbors their reverence and fear.
The old social hygiene dispensary, dating back to the 30s, of my city. At the forefront in the fight: before against tuberculosis and then against drug addiction. Now abandoned, invaded by nature and in the process of being demolished.
