Fresh film from Finland, processed in Rodinal like Tri-X400@1600, 1+50, 17.35 minutes at 20.5°C. I love its contrast... Very thin film, uneasy to handle but quite flat. It doesn't like poor light or 1/2 stop over-exposure.

J'ai hésité à publier ces photos, car je suis encore un peu mal-à-l'aise avec les portraits. Mais cette soirée avait quelque chose de magique, et le moment passé avec cette belle personne est resté dans nos mémoires. Je l'ai d'abord photographiée furtivement, puis, quand elle s'en est aperçue, elle a "fait son show", est venue à notre table, nous a servi un verre et nous avons ri et discuté... un de ces moments improbables, rendus possibles par cet appareil vintage, qui faisait du bruit en déclenchant... J'aime la photo aussi et peut-être surtout, pour cette possibilité qu'elle offre d'aller vers les autres et de laisser les autres venir vers soi. 😎📸
I hesitated before I decided to publish these photos, because I'm still uncomfortable with portraits. But this night had something special, and the moment spent with this beautiful person remained in our memories. I first photographed her furtively, then, when she noticed it, she "showed off", then came to our table, served us a glass of red wine, and we laughed and talked... it was one of these improbable moments, made possible by this vintage camera, whose trigger made this typical noise... That's the reason why I love photography, and above all, for because of the possibilites it offers of reaching out to others and letting others come to you. 😎📸
In April, we returned as a family to Poland, after my trip which had a profound effect on me in April 2019. On the program, Krakow (where I had the immense hope of finding @tomczykd), Warsaw, but also the unavoidable stage of the Auschwitz camp.
