the old Sterling Inn. My aunt and uncle had their wedding reception here many years ago...long before i was born, and then in the late 70's/early 80's they moved to Ohio, but the family gathered together here, when this was still a functioning restaurant and Inn. last year i drove past it and most of the building was obscured by a massive amount of vegetation...bittersweet, grape, poison ivy, etc. on this particular day, i noticed all of that cleared away and a for sale sign...it will need a significant amount of work, but it's still a gem of a property. side note: there is a tiny sculpture of a lamb, in the village green, that honors the young woman who was the subject of the nursery rhyme "mary had a little lamb".
