This has become my most liked photo, thanks everyone! I can still remember the moment when I took the photo, leaning the camera on the edge of the rail for stability and hearing the satisfying second click as the shutter closed. I remember wondering if it would turn out, I didn't expect this; These are the moments that make me LOVE film.
I spent a weekend at my grandparents house at the coast of Belgium. I took my Hasselblad, the Holga and the SX-70 with me to take some pictures. It was really windy and not so hot, so the beaches were not crowded and I had enough space to photograph.
Since I was the only one who had a lomo camera in the group, I did the lomowalk alone. An hour before we left for the airport, I took one last stroll along the beach.
LESSON LEARNED: the beach can over expose an ISO 100 film
Underexposed multi layered photo. I can imagine there is a true sense of wonder and isolation soaring above the clouds in a baloon looking down on Earth. There are a lot of reasons this lomograph is one of my favorites. It is my most popular lomograph. It is a double exposure and I love doubles. I also love hot air balloons and hope to one day ride in one.
