I took two rolls of film for this scenario. One with my lomo, and apparently the batteries were dead and NOTHING came out and I will cry for a long time because of it. So painful! Can't there be a warning, hey your battery is dead, these genius photographs you are taking are not going to exist except in your head warning light??!! And one with my lovely new "Love is in the Air" edition Diana mini. Total crap roll. It happens. But I went to great lengths for this set up. I am devastated. I think this ONE picture is beautiful, though. Please say you like it and ease my pain...
Varigotti, in una splendida giornata di metà Dicembre... sembrava quasi primavera, c'erano quasi 20 gradi... che bello liberarsi di scarpe e calzini e passare qualche ora passeggiando a piedi nudi su questa splendida spiaggia ligure, con alle spalle le case di un borgo in stile moresco unico nel suo genere in tutta la regione!

This is one on my favorite photos. I, rarely, used to try double exposures on my photos. But since I saw that one, playing with double and triple shoots in the same frame was one of my obsessions. I love how looks like it is raining flowers in this photo.
I felt like I knew her now, at least as well as one could. She was sensitive yet easy to be with, not the fickle, high maintenance girl I'd imagined. She always forgave my clumsiness. I understood that she had others, she gave her love so freely, so innocently, that I couldn't be jealous. I was happy to visit them and try and catch a glimpse of her. After all I knew, somewhere in the back of my mind, that she was as transient as life itself, and when she was gone, she would be gone forever.
Proof scan of the whole roll of negatives. Fomapan 100 regular-8 movie film in a Minolta 16MG.THe pictures are mostly from the Mississauga Living Arts Centre and Benares Museum. Lessons learned: (1) Fomapan has a very dark base - I thought I hadn`t fixed it enough and re-fixed the film to no effect. (2) For scanning, I should rate it a bit faster - the whole density range was compressed into a small band of dark shades - and that base didn`t help either. The V600 scanner really couldn`t get much from these negs. (3) If I`m going to get anything presentable from the Fomapan, I`ll have to make wet prints and then scan those.
