The Decisive Moment

I shot this photo last December when my lovely partner and I were out around the Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver. The late aftenoon light was beautiful, and so low on the horizon. It was streaming through the windows of The Polygon Gallery. Suddenly, a newlywed couple burst through the doors of The Polygon. I was there with my Hasselblad, waiting for a moment like this. There was no time for critical focus, I just gave it my best shot, and I was very happy with the results. This is one of the things I love the most about candid street photography, when something like this just unfolds in one quick, fleeting moment. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Hasselblad 500C with Zeiss 150mm lens. Fujichrome Provia 100F, cross processed.
