take care

After returning from my trip, I struggled to settle back into my routine, haunted by a strange sense of disconnection. It was as though I was an observer of my own life, reflecting on what it had been before and questioning if it still belonged to me. Perhaps it was the persistent toothache that later led to a root canal, or maybe it was a lingering sense of depression and thoughts of mortality. Whatever the cause, I knew I needed to break free from this self-reflection. I decided to take a walk and explore a path along the water. My journey didn't yield much discovery, just a lonely bridge for a waterway pipe. Halfway across the pipe, a message from a stranger stood out: "take care," spray-painted in bold letters. I pictured an intrepid youth scaling the bridge, carefully balancing their steps across the pipe, pondering what message to leave behind. In the end, they chose a simple, wholesome entreaty. I decided to take those words to heart, regardless of their intended sincerity. And with that, I started to feel a little better. Photo details: LomoChrome Color ’92 Sun-kissed film.
