My black babies customized !
Canon Canonet QL17 and his close friend Yashica electro 35 CC... I love them so much... Am I crazy? Does somebody understand me???
At the office that I call "the agency" !
I'm seriously out of practice shooting infrared film. This roll was largely overexposed to the point of no return, but I was able to scan these three. As always, they were shot using a deep red IR filter and these were processed using a Rodinal stand process, 1 + 100 for 1 hour.
Bought a wide angle lens for my beloved LC-A+. It's breathtaking, and renders amazing nature shots. Took some shots at Lanikai Beach, Ala Moana Beach, Du Vin Brassiere, and Central Oahu Regional Park.
Tested using a mask that I colored multiple shades. Most of the photos didn't capture much behind the strong colors, so these are all that turned out decent. Oh well.
Absolutely LOVING my Canon. It has such a sturdy feel, and turns out it works great with xpro. Had to overexpose by one notch, methinks the light meter battery is dying, haha. Ran around and enjoyed beautiful Hawaii weather at Waikiki, Kahala beach, and Manoa park.
I just got these digital scans of my prints from the lomolab today. For some reason, it took more than a month to get just these, the longest it's taken so far. And for some reason, some of the photos look crinkled or even wobbly to look at, and one digital scan is flawed. Tsk tsk, lomolab!
I've had my Polaroid One Step 600 lying around because I didn't know if it was broken or not. But thanks to @nigelk who gave me a pack of film, I found out it works and I'm happy with these results!
Let's call this an overview to the basics of star trail photography for beginners from the pros. These are a short collection of techniques I've read and learned from books and tutorials that I want to share with you.
My first solargraphy experiment worked! I made my own pinhole camera and left it out for 25 days. Though the image isn't very clear, you can vaguely see the smooth water and the palm tree island across the marina from my boat docks. However I'm assuming that the camera was moved because of the two streaks from the sun instead of one...but I'm not completely sure. Let me know what you think!
Various shots from the area...Shelburne Falls on Mother's Day, the Autocars in Bernardston and scenes from Turners Falls and my front yard. I was way more impressed with the little Ricoh this time than I was in the earlier test. This one is a keeper and will be a nice pocket cam for the summer.
testing my new holga and the filter sets and macro lenses out with out of date superia 200 film......... i have decided 200 is a bit low for poor old holga as i only got half my photos back in decent nick, 400/800s from now on for you madam!!!
Since I was the only one who had a lomo camera in the group, I did the lomowalk alone. An hour before we left for the airport, I took one last stroll along the beach.
LESSON LEARNED: the beach can over expose an ISO 100 film
If GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) is a problem of yours as it is mine, then you must spend a lot of time on the lomography store website or ebay just looking and lusting after cameras. This beautiful, medium format, box camera caught my eye on ebay. It looked so cute and interesting and was selling for just $10. I couldn't help myself and the rest as they say is history.
