In a fast-changing world driven by digitalization, how have film enthusiasts been keeping the love for film alive? In this new series we dive into different film communities all over the world, starting with the tech-savvy Southeast Asian country of the Philippines.
This past "Halloweekend" we teamed up with Toronto Analog Friends with support from Choose Film Camera Shop to host LomoWalk Toronto. Check out some of the wonderful photos from the day!
Paris-based photographer Gaëlle Dechery specializes in shooting portraits and in fashion photography. She also assists another photographer, Emily Soto in creating dreamlike images. She's fallen in love with the Petzval 85 Lens, which she used for a photo series titled 'Lilith.'
Our newcomer of the week is a university football player who loves drinking beer and listening to indie music. Give a loud round of applause for JP Oracion from the Philippines!
It is always a pleasant experience collaborating with our old friends and LomoAmigos. This time, Emily Soto shot another wonderful series with her Petzval Art Lens. We can't wait to share it with everyone, so here they are!
I did again the sharp vs unsharp double shots. this time from the balcony on the 14th floor of a building in berlin kreuzberg where you can go up if you're lucky if door is open. shots taken with an AE-1 and tele and my common Canon 300EOS - the difference is visible. they turned out great again. anyway on some the tele did a bit too much bokeh. ah yes, and there are a few from gleisdreickpark again. you can see my first try here: http://www.lomography.com/homes/bloomchen/albums/2030874-the-sharp-and-out-of-focus-double-series
I went with a couple of my friends to this beautiful place called Nagsasa Cove. It was an analogue weekend for us since there was no phone signal there and no electricity. It was the perfect escape.
I shot the second half of my first 135 purple chrome there and here are the results
Finally had some time to do another Petzval test roll. I tested two more of my custom apertures this time, the lightning bolt and the flower blossom. Fun results. I will try some xpro slide film next time.

Asked one of my bestfriends for a portrait session. I'm totally not gonna shoot the Lomochrome Purple under the shade again. These look good, though :)
