This is not a photo of mine. Photo is by Pascal Rossignol / Reuters. In the photo there is a stray dog called Loukanikos. Loukanikos always participated in the riots in Athens Greece, being at the side of protestors during the eurozone's crisis from Athens, and fighting against the special police forces (the praetorians of the government). He was overexposed to chemical gases thrown by police and was hit by policemen. Loukanikos (the name means sausage in Greek) refused to get adopted and wanted to live on the streets. Finally was adopted at the end of his life. He was usually found in the thick of the action, at the front of the crowds. In fact, he often went where other protestors dared not. Loukanikos the RIOT DOG died at 2014 and became front cover in TIME magazine. Gone but not forgotten!

Yes this dog was a phenomenon. When he died, people gave him a proper funeral. Thousands attended the funeral.
