Liam and the Katianga (NZ #10)

I love trains, Liam likes Trains, the old ones, the really old locomotives. While in Greymouth I knew that there is a historic Shantytown Heritage Park closeby. There they celebrate the gold rush and moved orginal buildings from the area to this kind of theme Park. And they have a steam locomotive. Transportation from Greymouth is bas, so I had to pay a whopping 30 dollars for a taxi. But for me it was kind of worth it. Liam is the son of the conductor of the locomotive with the cathy name Katianga that goes around the shantytown every full hour. It goes through a jungle and blows the whistle with an impressive amount of steam. love.

It was great to meet you Willie, then to see my homeland through your eyes. My late wife panned for gold & brought home a phial of dust. The train ride is a highlight. There is a historic loco ride in my area so I must catch it going one holiday
