Silence in India !!

a rare scene - thanks to the national strike. The unions are particularly strong in the South, so the streets were almost empty, not a single tuk tuk running or honking!

    Cochin has street art ??? I had no clue it is such a cool place !! I have to visit it :)

    @ishifishy I know, right! It's a world away from the bombastic New Delhi. Even the stray dogs got the memo.

    @ishifishy yeah there were loads of art cafes and galleries too. Even tree stumps were covered in art. I asked why choose Cochin for India's first ever biennale and was told that this area is traditionally very strong in visual and performance arts. There were lots of fantastic big-name local painters and sculptors featuring in the exhibition.
