Am 02. und 03. Februar 2024 fanden bei Leica in Wetzlar die Analog Experience Days statt. Freitags interessante Vorträge, Samstag eine Gelegenheit zum Fotowalk mit dem Ilford HP5+ 400 und Entwicklung vor Ort mit der neuen Chemie von Jobo in der neuen Jobo SilverBase - Rotationsmaschine. Ich hatte meine AE-1 program im Einsatz, meist in der Vollautomatik. Es gibt noch viel zu lernen... ;-) // On February 02 and 03, 2024, the Analog Experience Days took place at Leica in Wetzlar. Interesting lectures on Friday, Saturday an opportunity for a photo walk with the Ilford HP5+ 400 and development on site with the new Jobo chemistry in the new Jobo SilverBase rotary machine. I had my AE-1 program in use, mostly in full automatic mode. There is still a lot to learn... ;-)
A beautiful Sunday - sun, blue skies and cool clean air. A great day for a good bike ride - circa 30 km along one of the most beautiful part of the Bergstrasse between Heidelberg and Zwingenberg. Kodak Retina 1 A loaded with Ilford Delta 400 and Kiev 88 loaded with Formapan 100. Ilford developed in Rodinal 1+100, semi stand for 36 minutes at 21°C. Formapan in Rodinal 1+100 for 18 minutes, 21°C, modestly agitated.
A rainy day - I did bring the basement into order, painted the terrance already and repaired all bikes..(-:....so I just took pictures from strangely arranged odd things. Home developed at a friend's place...the negatives attracted a lot of dust. Zeiss Contaflex, 50mm Tessar with auxiliary close up lens (Proxar 0.5cm)
Another impression of my many strolls through Heidelberg. But it was also a test of one of my Hasselblad magazines on light leakages after servicing. Provia Slide film.
The Rondine is a simple but most beautyful box camera so I have no idea if the film was shot on box speed but I guess so as the camera despription says best in good weather. Anyway, I will try with a camera that offers more control next. Negative Format here is 6x4cm, camera shoots portrait format in its original orientation. LomoLab vienna did a nice job developing and scanning this 40 years expired film. Maybe I can correct the color shifts a bit.
I tried to take pictures in pairs with the Alfie Tych 1/2 frame camera. It was difficult because it lacks double exposure control and sometimes I got carried away by my idea for the second shot so that I forgot to wind on which led to double exposures. Developed and scanned by LomoLab Vienna who do a nice job scanning in pairs.
First time using the Lubitel, and first time processing 120 format film at home with the 120 module. Quite easy, filling it at 300ml and and turning the knob continuously. So easy I should have made more rolls.
The only difficultry was to make the focus and to keep the frame straight : not so easy when you have the inverted image in the viewer ! Especially, when you move in the crowd with people passing between the subject and you ! I even made a double exposure without noticing.
In the next days, I will upload the 35mm photos shot with my Fed 2d.
Sunday, May 17th. First unlocked weekend, and we took the car for the first time since March 15th... and left our little charming city of Chazelles to get a walk on the banks of the Rhône in Lyon. I had 3 cameras with me, the weather was sunny and warm, and we spent a great time, like recovering freedom. The banks were very crowded, and just few people weared masks... Here is the second film of this very first unlocked day.
Without a doubt, the most beautiful excursion of our stay in Ushuaia: the boat trip on the Beagle Channel. It was cold, but what a spectacle. The sea wolves, the wild birds, the scouts' lighthouse, the spectacular natural setting, the location of the two opposing shores, the Chilean to the south, the Argentinian to the north. Here's the second part, shot with a Lomography Color Negative 800 roll, and my favorite Nikkor 50mm lens.
Von Farbe und Kontrast her wirkt der Film tatsächlich etwas "alt". Gefällt mir aber. Kamerascan mit manuellem Weißabgleich auf die Filmmaske, manueller Schwarzpunkt.
