These triptychs are really good, lovely complimentary compositions. The film stock suits the half frame format too, I'm tempted to try some of it with my pens. The prints look nice, what paper are you using?

Thank you for the comments and the compliments - much appreciated!
Despite the many negative reviews about Retropan 320, I am quite a keen supporter of this particular film stock and of all things Foma.
Retropan, yielding a lower contrast and producing softer images complements the harsh Australian sunlight perfectly. Typically, I rate the film at 160 ISO and develop in a Rodinal style developer.
As far as darkroom paper choices go, being somewhat of a ‘newbie’, I still haven’t progressed any further from the standard resin coated offerings. These images have been printed using Ilford’s tried and trusted glossy MGIV RC variant developed in Kodak Dektol.
When darkroom printing Retropan negatives, I generally use a grade 4 filter to get a ‘punchy’ contrast. My enlarger, being somewhat of a primitive and antique design, doesn’t really support split filtering techniques. A considerable amount of ‘burning in’ and ‘dodging’ is done on each print to improve the overall tone and quality.
Darkroom work as you are no doubt well aware is very much a labour of love, and for me I will continue to put in the hard yards for as long as I can!
