Kariwunjawa Islands consists of 27 little island, it is located in the north side of Central Java, Indonesia (on the map I marked Jepara, it's actually the white dots on the north of it).

The Dieng Plateau is a caldera complex formed after an eruption of Mt. Prau. The caldera was once full of water which then dried up. However, volcanic activity continues to this day as you can find sulfuric fumes and poisonous lakes in the area. Located at an altitude of 2000m, the temperature here is also much cooler compared to the surrounding lowlands. The ancient Javanese Hindus built temples here and hailed Dieng Plateau as a sacred place.

I've always loved the Ratu Boko Temple or Boko Temple, because of its exoticism and its different from other temples in Yogyakarta. There's so much we can capture here. The combination of the temple, lawn, and the trees just make Boko Temple more exotic and sometimes you can find some animals there too.

Plaosan Temple is one of the Hindu-Buddha temples located in Bugisan Village, which is east of Yogyakarta City and about 1 kilometer northeast of Prambanan Temple. Plaosan Temple was built in the mid 9th century by Sri Kahulunnan or Pramodhawardhani, the daughter of Samaratungga, a descendant of the Sailendra Dynasty, and who was married to Rakai Pikatan in the Hindu tradition.

Borobudur is a ninth-century Mahayana Buddhist monument in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The monument comprises six square platforms topped by three circular platforms, and is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues.A main dome, located at the center of the top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues seated inside perforated stupa.

Prambanan is the ninth century Hindu temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia, dedicated to Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Sustainer (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva). Ratu Boko (King Boko Palace) was a glorious building that was constructed during the reign of Rakai Panangkaran, descendant of Sailendra dynasty. The palace that initially was named Abhayagiri Vihara (that means a monastery on a peaceful hill) was built for seclusion purpose and to focus on spiritual life.

Jalan Malioboro is centrally located in downtown Yogyakarta. The street stretches from Tugu Railway Station to the Sultan's Keraton, spanning across some 2 1/2 kilometres in length. Major roads in the city such as Jl Jenderal Sudirman, Jl Mangkubumi, Jl P. Senopati, Jl Sultan Agung, Jl KH A Dahlan and Jl Pasar Kembang will converge at this street.

Fort Vredeburg is a fortress built by the Dutch in Yogyakarta during Colonial times. It is located in front of Gedung Agung, one of seven presidential palaces in Indonesia and the Sultan Palace called Kraton. It was built in 1765 to protect the Dutch governor. It is surrounded by a trench that is still visible.

De Plaosan tempels zijn Hindu-Buddha tempels in het dorp Bugisan, ongeveer 1 kilometer ten noordoosten van de Prambanan tempel. De tempels zijn in de 9e eeuw gebouwd door Sri Kahulunnan van Pramodhawardhani, de dochter van Samaratungga en nazaat van de Sailendra dynastie. Ze was getrouwd met Rakai Pikatan in de Hindu traditie.

Ich schätze den Ratu Boko Tempel (oder Boko Tempel) sehr wegen seiner Exotik und Andersartigkeit im Vergleich zu anderen Tempeln in Yogyakarta. Dort kann man so viel fotografieren. Die Kombination aus Tempel, Grün und Bäumen machen den Boko Tempel noch exotischer und manchmal findet man dort sogar Tiere.
