Well, my birthday falls on November and I have a super fetish for polka dots. I can’t stop myself from buying polka-dots print apparels, accessories, bags, books, wrapping papers, photo albums and etc. I’m so madly in love with dots. Hahaha! How I wish I could paint my whole home in dots and get a blue vintage beetle with white dots! Dots rule forever!! Opps. :P
How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you get into this whole thing?
Since November 2006, and wow, it’s gonna be my 4th anniversary this November. (Did I just mention November again? Gosh, November is my favorite month! :P) Life is slightly mundane at that time, and my boyfriend back then (he’s my ex now) was trying to perk up my life a bit by introducing me to a very cute and funny camera. Being a girl who likes photography, I found this camera is full of curiosity. That is my first Lomo – The Fisheye2.
The first roll was super exciting, I cannot see what I’ve shoot immediately, the anxious feeling of worrying about the outcome, the process of waiting and anticipating are … priceless. I guess the feeling of joy and disappointment from these analogue photography had successfully drive me nuts and I’m now super addicted to it, and yes, I’m super in love with Lomography now.
How will you celebrate the holiday season? Will you be getting together with family and friends and do you have anything special planned?
Year-end is the holiday season!! November is a happy month! Yay! (Yea, I know I mention November again!) November would be a month full of celebration. Few of my close friends born in November (including me, myself, yay!) and it’s gonna be lotsa meet up for birthday parties or gathering. It’s not possible for all of us meeting up everyday but it’s good to meet up once in awhile, celebrating the joy of getting older and exchanging happy stories in life. Well, as in December, I will spend some time with my dearest close friend for a gateway, and maybe will drop by neighborhood country for the pre-Christmas shopping spree. Not to forget spending time with my lovely family as well.
Describe if you can your personal shooting style. Are you a classic snap shooter, experimental lab rat or just plain up for anything?
I guess I’m a classic shooter. I’m too lazy to explore new tricks but I do enjoy reading those creative tipster and those DIY tips are super inspiring.
If you had to choose one- (yes, just one) shot – what would be your favorite photo from the ones you took this year?
We ask for a photo selection that you feel is kind of a recap of your year. If you could make a soundtrack for your photos / year what would these songs be? Any reason in particular? (3 songs title & artist please).
It’s gonna be:
- Ingrid Michaelson – Be Ok.
- Asher Book – Try.
- Jack Johnson – Better Together.
The song ‘Be OK’ is a refreshing song, which is pretty inspiring. Love repeating this song when I had a tough day at work. I will ‘BE OK’ ! ☺
Try, try try try. Try to make a change in life. Try to move on. Try to love everyone around u. Try to make it happen! Try!! Cause never try, you will never know!
And life gets better together with someone who is important to me. ☺
What is your weapon of choice when it comes to your favorite camera and film?
It’s gonna be Lomo LC-A loaded with Kodak EBX 100. I love how my LC-A gives me surprises each time!
