@neanderthalis thanks for your concern. We are further up the country, not by much. The eruption has so far only consisted of water. The hope is it won't blow magma next. There was an eruption in Taupo in the 1800s that blew massive boulders as far as the very north. Auckland itself sits on 40 odd (I believe) volcanos.
